Demolition of the Stevens Barn

Once located on South Street in Bow right next to the Concord line, for many gererations. The Stevens property was sold and the barn and house were scheduled for demolition and removal. Steve Fifield of Fifield Building Restoration and Relocation of Canterbury relocated this barn to his property at 207 Canterbury Road in Canterbury where he reconstructed it. It is now used as part of his business and for the boarding of his cows. The demolition took place in 1989. The Hampton Inn at 515 South Street now sits on the old Stevens property. 04.17.2021.

The timbers are sawn and could have been milled at the Upton sawmill right across the street next to the Gray House Barn.
